Sally Jane Sanko
Sally was born and raised in Kansas. She began organizing with immigrant farmworker campaigns during her time as a student at the University of Kansas. This experience inspired her to learn Spanish, start her own organic permaculture farm, and later pursue a career in Social Work. Sally learned Spanish at Sisai Spanish School in Xela, Guatemala, and received her Bachelors of Arts in Religious History and Master of Social work degree at the University of Kansas. After spending the last decade providing case management and advocacy for various immigrant and refugee resettlement social service organizations, Sally is excited to use her skills in the legal realm. In her spare time, Sally enjoys spending time in the woods practicing her mycology skills, gardening, and spending time with her numerous pets.
