Sutton grew up in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, and moved to Atlanta in 2006 to attend Emory University. There, he played varsity soccer and completed his bachelor’s degree in anthropology.
After college, Sutton worked for the International Rescue Committee for four years and earned a Master in International Policy degree from UGA. Furthering his studies at Georgia State University, he earned his law degree in 2019. During his time at GSU, he was also the president of the Immigration Law Society.
Outside of work, Sutton enjoys sports, especially soccer and basketball, and getting to know new people.
