Since 2012, Marta Goff has been serving as a paralegal with the Atlanta immigration attorneys at Antonini & Cohen. She has known for many years that she wants to use her skills to help others. After moving from her home country of Colombia to the United States in 2008, Marta initially pursued a nursing degree at Georgia Perimeter College but quickly shifted to criminal justice after working with Carolina Antonini. “As an immigrant myself, I knew I could be useful to the immigrant community,” she says. “Here at Antonini & Cohen, everyone is passionate about the work they are doing. It is an honor to care for our clients in such a hands-on way.”
When she’s not returning to Colombia to visit family, Marta delights in exploring other cultures. “You never know where you’ll find the most beautiful sunset or the most delicious empanadas,” she says.
Marta is always seeking out diverse food choices, even if it’s just around the corner on Buford Highway. “I Luv Pho is the best Vietnamese pho in Atlanta. You can trust me on this one!” She also enjoys Korean BBQ, Indian, and Japanese cuisines. Even at the office, Marta loves the birthday celebrations. “There is always lots of food,” she says. “It’s fun using these special occasions to bond with my fellow coworkers.”
When she’s not at work, Marta never misses a chance to cheer on La Selección Colombia, her country’s football/soccer team! Spending time outdoors is one of her favorite things to do on the weekend—especially hiking in the north Georgia mountains. Last but not least, she volunteers at the Atlanta Food Bank and hopes to go on a mission trip to Haiti one day.
At Antonini & Cohen, we have been providing energetic, effective and aggressive representation in all areas of American immigration law since 1991.
