Immigration law attorney Carolina Antonini was interviewed by 11 Alive in a news story about Operation Border Guard’s recent arrests of 18-year-olds and women in the Atlanta area. There have been more arrests of undocumented immigrants out of the Atlanta field office than any other in the US. Carolina discussed the systemic flaws in the way Atlanta handles deportations, commenting, “These numbers have existed for many years and show the problem is chronic. Immigration judges are not applying proper standards, immigration defense attorneys are either not taking sufficient cases, and in the cases that they take maybe they’re not presenting properly.”
